Jamie Osborne Optimistic For The 2010 Season

Last season was one that Jamie Osborne would prefer to forget. His horses were blighted by a virus that hung over them for the duration which all but wiped out his juvenile rank which is only now recovering into it’s second season.

The other blow was the financial meltdown of his principal patron and landlord, Martin Myers, who’s Mountgrange Stud went into liquidation.

One of the few bright points was a third successive Ascot Gold Cup placing for the perennial Geordieland who is still around while the disappearance of Mountgrange has meant the trainer is now on an extensive building scheme to create his own purpose-built complex in Upper Lambourn.

He has bought in some exploitable older horses from the sales and together with some fairly treated horse racing tips he has every reason to be optimistic.
