What Are Personal Checks?
A personal check is a check that is used for purchases and bill paying that is for personal use and not for business or organizational use. Personal checks may have your initials printed on it. You can also pick a logo or a picture from a stock catalog that you might like to have printed on your personal check. The check itself is not any different than any other check as far as the information contained in it. It has the usual name of the person to whom the check in going, the date, amount in writing and numerals, a memo that says what it is for and the signature of the payer.
The check may be embellished with the logo of your favorite sports team, dogs, cats, birds movie or cartoon characters and any other item you feel strong about.
