I second 24hr fitness. I used to go there and it was a great gym, not too crowded, good machines. They have a lap pool and hot tub and a really good child care facility. We moved farther North so it’s kind of far for me to go there now but my kids always ask when we’re going to the gym, I guess they liked going there too! References :

They have several good rec centers around the city that are on par with private gyms but cheaper. I have friends who like South Boulder Rec Center. I personally prefer Boulder County Open Space. <G>
