Can a 14 year old join a health club to work out?

My son has been after me to join a health club but I am hesitant about it because I am afraid this will interfere with his growth or something. Is anyone more knowledgeable on the subject? I appreciate it.

i think its ok. just watch him and make sure he’s not like trying to lift up really heavy weights and all that stuff

yes, working out is a great idea a ymca should be a good option. as for bodybuilding, that should not be an option for a little while longer since that can affect further development and growth. i started working out but regret not doing it at 14.
