The best way to cook a turkey
I think the best way to cook your turkey is with an indoor electric turkey fryer. You can use an outdoor propane one, and I know they are a lot faster to get back up to temperature after putting the turkey in, but for me then the safety of an electric version with a thermostat on far outweighs that little inconvenience. Also having the unit inside on your kitchen side means it is away from kids who could run into the outdoor one and get badly hurt. Of course you do have to put up with the smell from the inside fryer, but if you really want to you can use the electric one outside – as long as it is not raining!
