do you think i could get into a planet fitness gym with my sister’s membership? do they check id?

Posted on February 16th, 2010 by admin in fitness gym | No Comments »

does planet fitness check ID when you go in or is a membership card enough? i want to check out the gym, but i don’t want to commit to anything. you think they’d let me in? my brother also has a membership. his name can work for a boy or a girl, but is gender listed on the membership? Would they be more likely to let me in if i went with one of them instead of by myself? would going at night draw more attention to myself?

I’m sure they have free trial workouts. Is her picture on the card? If not give it a try.

If i wanted to own my own fitness gym what would i major in college?

Posted on February 14th, 2010 by admin in fitness gym | 3 Comments »

Im in high school now but i wanted to start planning and getting ideas of what i want to do. I was thinking of starting up my own fitness gym and doing something with nutrition and dietetics. Any suggestions of what i should major in or what colleges would be the best choice? I live on the east coast now but i am open to going anywhere. California would be my first choice :)

thanks so much for your time this would really help!

It depends on what exactly you want to do. If you intend to work at your gym as a trainer or nutrition counselor, you’ll need to be qualified to do that. This would be kind of like having your own practice as a nutritionist or something, with enhanced facilities for your clients to work in. It would also probably have lower start-up costs since you could start smaller and maybe wouldn’t have to hire many employees. However, if you wanted to expand you would eventually need to hire people.

If you want to own the business and run it, hiring other people to work directly with your customers, then you should make sure to take some classes in small business management or entrepreneurship, but you don’t have to actually major in them unless you want to. As an entrepreneur, nobody is going to be judging you based on your major, it’s not like you have to meet an employer’s requirements. Just take all the courses that you think will teach you something valuable about either fitness or business, and major in whichever one you find most interesting.

I started a the fitness gym finally!

how much does a membership at Hollywood Gym and Fitness cost?

Posted on February 10th, 2010 by admin in fitness gym | 1 Comment »

In Hollywood, CA? I know it varies from what programs a person subscribes to, but how much would I pay just to use the gym?

Call the gym at (323) 845-1420. They are offering a 1 month program for $39 and given the LA Metro area, a minimum membership is likely to be $100 a month.

lm joining gym fitness first l was wondering has anyone been their how is it and the facilities?

Posted on February 7th, 2010 by admin in fitness gym | 2 Comments »

im excited to use the steam room and the solarium ok and please dont tell me its bad for you l already know!
but has anyone used them?

you should go talk to the staff there and ask for a tour of the facilities. most gyms will bend over backwards to show off and try to get you to join! sometimes they also give free day passes so you can try it out for a few days. that way itll be easier to decide if you want to get a membership or not. (you could even try out the steam room for free!) good luck!

Would you go to a gym without any fitness instructors there to advise you on how do workout correct?

Posted on February 5th, 2010 by admin in fitness gym | 5 Comments »

there is gonna be a fitness suite that used to have fitness instructors in the gym at all times to help to you and talk !!! there on about taken the instructors out and having no one in apart from leisure attendants that open and close thats it, would you join or would you still attend the gym
The gym has got out of date equipment and the prices are the same as other gyms in the area which are run by the same company but they are manned.

well i have a total gym,but dont use it very much.i want to go to a gym where there is instructors to help cheer me on,keep me motivated.if not,i might as well stay home and save some money.

Is American Family Fitness a good gym to join?

Posted on February 3rd, 2010 by admin in fitness gym | 1 Comment »

I’m thinking about joining a gym and American Family Fitness is the closest to my house. I know its 24 hours and its huge so it must be good, but I need to know some more before I join. Thanks

If it’s the same American Family that I have near me, they’re decent. They are inexpensive, which is nice, but I find that they’re sometimes lacking in their services. I’m thinking of going somewhere else because I have to drive a bit of distance to go there and it’s just not worth it for me anymore. I’d say it’s a good place to start a workout regimen, but you might find it limiting after a while.

What is a good price for one month of a gym membership at LA Fitness?

Posted on January 31st, 2010 by admin in fitness gym | 1 Comment »

I’m going to LA Fitness tomorrow to see if I like the place and also to see how much it will be. The guy on the phone said that they only do month-to-month memberships. I’m just wondering what other people pay who go there, or to any other gym.

I pay 38 dollars Canadian for a gym that I go to. It’s a sports and wellness center. So has basketball courts, a workout area, a couple pools, a sauna and so forth.

do you consider this rude behavior at a fitness gym?

Posted on January 26th, 2010 by admin in fitness gym | 9 Comments »

If someone was working out, rested, then someone else comes up to that person and says "Wanna switch (weight machines), since your just sitting there?" When the guy was only sitting there for a couple minutes for rest between sets, and there apparently were other weight machines in the gym that were just like that one? Do you think this guy was trying to intimidate the other guy, acting macho by trying to rush him off the machine sooner?

Can people like this be kicked out of a gym?

Is this common behavior in a gym?

I don’t think it’s rude, in general and compared to some of the other stuff I see. like people need machines, and sitting doing nothing for a few minutes on a mchine is a huge interruption to the other guys workout which wouldn’t be a big deal, but since he’s not doing anything, it is kinda rude on the guy who isn’t doing anything.

besides compared to the people not putting weights back on the rack when they’re done and people talking to you during your w/o and on their phones during theirs, asking politely to switch a machine when you arent using it isn’t bad lol
