I own a fitness center, do we have to pay for a music license if we play remix songs.?

I own a fitness center, do I have to buy a music liceness agreement if all we play is remix music?

Music played in the background of any establishment is controlled by ASCAP and BMI, among other organizations. You must pay for a license to use it on your premises, even if it is remixed and/or you aren’t selling the music.

What should I expect and prepare for at a job interview for a front desk receptionist at a gym/fitness center?

Posted on December 26th, 2009 by admin in fitness gym | 3 Comments »

- What kind of questions should I prepare for?
- What’s a good/normal hourly salary for this kind of position?
- What are some of the key things the interviewer is looking for in me?
First job interview and help would be great. Thanks so much in advance!

They may ask you fitness related questions like what do you know about losing weight, getting in shape etc. Imagine they will probably want you to be able to talk up the gym and get people excited about signing up.

what you are looking for in the job?

what you will bring to the job?

what is your experience with customer service?

How would you handle an irate customer?

What is your greatest weakness? Your best strength?

Are you afraid of the sight of blood?

Remember to relax and be confident and show your best and brightest self.

What type of tennis racquet should I get?

Posted on December 26th, 2009 by admin in racquet club | 11 Comments »

I am 16, sophomore, and am looking to be either #1 or #2 singles this year at my school. I am going to train a lot this winter at the indoor club, but I need a new racquet. I currently use a 8 year old HEAD racquet thats all messed up.

My game is a consistent one from the baseline-very defensive forcing them to make mistakes. When I attack I am usually using serve/volley type of stuff. So I need something that is good for both of these. I am willing to pay around $150, or maybe $200 if I can get a bag with it since I dont have one =(

Any suggestions are helpful, thanks!

KFactor KSix-One 95 16×18. A great racket, good spin, control, and power. It’s a little stiff, but if you aren’t prone to tennis elbow, that won’t be a problem. One of its best features is the serve. On the serve, you get great spin and power. And now, since a new line is coming out sometime soon, it’s on sale for 149.99 when it previously was 199.99.

Are Man Utd really the richest sports club in the world?

Posted on December 26th, 2009 by admin in sports club | 6 Comments »

According to this they are, but i don’t understand, what about all that debt? is this everything they own plus turnover? can someone tell me what its based on?

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/2621902/Manchester-United-richest-club-in-all-sports.html

According to that they are the highest valued club. It’s just like a house; the house would have a value of £250000, but the mortgage will be say £200000. So the debt doesn’t affect the value.

24 Hour Fitness Clubs?

Posted on December 26th, 2009 by admin in fitness clubs | 2 Comments »

Does anyone know the price per month for a membership at a 24 Hour Fitness club? I am interested in joining but can’t find a price on their website. Also, when you become a member, is it for a year or do you pay month by month. If I join and don’t like it will I be stuck with paying for a whole year or what? I’ve never joined a fitness club, but am wanting to soon! So any tips would be greatly appreciated!!!

They have a special right now for 39.95. It’s month to month no membership fees or starting fees. But you have to pay first and last month when signing up($80 something). All locations are available to you. And they take the amount out on the 10th of every month. Oh they also will give you a backpack, towel, water bottle, and t-shirt. The special ends Monday 7/10/07 . I signed up today. Good Luck and hopefully everything will work out in your favor.

Is Athletic Training a good undergraduate degree for someone who wants to be a Physical Therapist?

Posted on December 26th, 2009 by admin in athletic | 2 Comments »

Honestly, I am iffy about the Physical Therapy because of the added school time I will need. BUT with Athletic Training I’ll be doing so many cool things like I’d be doing as a PT, but with only 4 years of school. Either way. If I wanted to do the DPT, I could just apply to graduate school.

One of my close friends is majoring in Athletic Training. There’s lots of options from there and if you’re not completely sure about the Physical Therapy but are sure about Athletic Training, then I highly suggest going for it.

What are the tipping expectations at the 24 hour fitness kids club?

Posted on December 26th, 2009 by admin in fitness club | 3 Comments »

I like using the 24 hour fitness kids club, but the cost really adds up if you use it a few times a week. I’d especially like to hear from someone that works there.

Why would you tip them? You pay for the service, correct? Do you tip babysitters you use along with their pay? No, and that’s what the child care there is.

Does a lifetime membership contract with a health club have to be in writing?

Posted on December 26th, 2009 by admin in health club | 1 Comment »

It is always smart to get contracts in writing. This question concerns the legal enforceability of a contract if the parties choose not to place it in writing. Would it be enforceable if the parties did not put it in writing?

49 out of 50 states use the Uniform Commercial Code, which covers contract law. If you have nothing in writing then you are pretty much screwed as it boils down to you saying one thing and the other guy saying another. Your word against his. Not enforceable.

Get all contracts in writing, always.
