where can i get tennis lessons in san jose, ca?

Posted on November 26th, 2009 by admin in racquet club | 2 Comments »

i want to play tennis but i need somewhere where its cheap but it gives really good lessons. the sanjose swim and racquet club was too expensive. do you think i should wait until high school to learn in the school. At notre dame i know there is tennis as a sport. im only twelve and i also want to know whether high school actually teaches you the sport. please help me.

Try looking at the Yellow Pages or the community center, do you live in San Jose city, or suburbs surrounding it?

Suburban community centers usually offer courses that teach multiple beginners, and community college offers such a course too.

You should actually learn tennis during middle school PE, and high school PE has the sport as well.

Maybe you’re best off asking your parents to help you in the matter.

Why do YMCA’s tend to do bring in more members than any other fitness centers?

Is it just the name? The prices? I do tend to notice that more inner city kids enjoy going to the Y. Is it the close proximity? I WANT TO KNOW

It’s the easy way you can go, and do your workout, without the "benefit" of a "personal trainer" with an over inflated ego….

What should I wear to an interview for a fitness club summer camp position?

Posted on November 26th, 2009 by admin in fitness clubs | 1 Comment »

I have an interview for a position as a summer camp counselor at a large fitness club (lifetime fitness) on saturday. The position is described as being very active, and in the initial phone call they told me their ideal candidate is someone who is very fun and active, willing to get down and play with the children.

I am twenty years old, so i want something young and that shows I am fun. I’m stuck about how to convey that I am the sort of person they are looking for while still looking put together and professional.

Thanks for the help!

If you are a male Wear a common fitness clothe like jogging pants and a fit shirt and match with sun glasses like this one http://www.sunglassesuk.com/c1/celebrity_sunglasses/alex_curran_2_sunglasses.asp if you’re a female wear also jogging pants and a boxer shirt. About being a fun and active it’s up to you just show it and let them feel that you’re happy to be with.

what the diffrence between an athletic trainer and a sports doctor besides the amount od years in school?

Posted on November 26th, 2009 by admin in athletic | 2 Comments »

Im planning to just get my masters as an athletic trainer but i also think i will like to be a sports doctor so whats the difference.

I think the main difference is a sports doctor is a doctor, i.e., an MD. Lots more education than an athletic trainer, but also more responsibility, prestige, and earning potential. You would have to get your MD and then specialize is sports-related concerns.

Can a 14 year old be on a salary at a physical fitness club as a trainer?

This kid thinks he’s the s**t because he has a job and he acts like he knows everything, but he trains kids how to play sports and he sucks at sports himself……All my friends are better than him at everything.

NO!, this kid sounds like hes not very informed on the subject, and probably thinks he is cool for having a job.

No education is required only very helpful.. Gyms such as Anytime Fitness have great programs to get you started and cost roughly 34000-70000 to completely get started(depends if you buy or lease your equipment). Check out there web site and it will give you lots of info.
